Salah A. MekkawyChief Executive Officer and ChairmanMr. Mekkawy began his career as a corporate strategic planner at AT&T shortly after graduating from NYU, where he played a pivotal role in the divesture of the Bell Operating Companies. His foray into real estate came as an entrepreneur with the founding of Regency Holdings in 1986, as an investment, development and management company that soon evolved into a respected organization with a diversified portfolio of high rise apartment, built-to-suit industrial and office buildings. Regency gained prominence by leading the trend in converting high rise apartments into condominiums throughout the New York metropolitan area and demonstrating, to existing apartment owners, how to generate additional value from their current holdings. Mr. Mekkawy has built over the years wide range relationships with potential joint venture partners, institutions and individuals. He has extensive experience in development, acquisition, finance, and disposition of residential and office properties. Since joining Pitcairn in 1998 as chairman and CEO, Mr. Mekkawy assembled a team of highly qualified industry veterans to pursue value-added development and acquisitions. Since 1998, Mr. Mekkawy has overseen the growth of the company from $100.0 Million of assets to over two billion dollar. He is responsible for setting the strategic direction of the company, sourcing deals, cultivating relationships, structuring transactions, creating the vision for these transactions and seeing it to successful execution ultimately achieving the company’s objectives. Mr. Mekkawy has overseen a 530% growth in the company’s share value since 1998. He sits on the advisory board of the Zell/Laurie Real Estate Center and is a research sponsor at The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and a member of the Urban Land Institute.
Joseph S. Grubb, Jr.Executive Vice PresidentMr. Grubb has been with Pitcairn since January 2005. His responsibilities include partnership development and oversight of all of Pitcairn's property operations including Asset Management, Property Management and Engineering. Mr. Grubb has over 22 years of experience in commercial real estate. Prior to joining Pitcairn, Joe began his career in 1985 with the Philadelphia based Jackson Cross Company, where he represented institutional owners such as Government of Singapore, Prudential Insurance Company and Penn Mutual Life. In 1992, Mr. Grubb joined Tower Realty Management Corporation (TRMC), a wholly owned affiliate of the Government of Singapore Investment Corporation, as Senior Vice President, where he oversaw its institutional real estate east coast operation, consisting of 16 properties totaling 7.8 million square feet. At Pitcairn, Mr. Grubb has been responsible for developing SEB Immobilien Investment, a German open-ended real estate fund, into Pitcairn's largest joint-venture partner. In March 2006, through this joint-venture partnership, Pitcairn acquired Chesterbrook and Glenhardie Corporate Office Centers, a Class A office portfolio totaling 1,450,000 square feet in Wayne, Pennsylvania. Mr. Grubb has dramatically grown Pitcairn Properties' Asset Management division by successfully winning the award to handle the Investment Advisory assignment of SEB's directly owned Class A office and retail properties, located throughout the United States and with an asset value of over $900,000,000. Mr. Grubb is the broker of record for Pitcairn Properties and is a licensed broker in New York and Pennsylvania. He received a Bachelor of Science in Finance from the Pennsylvania State University.
Mark PasierbSenior Vice PresidentMr. Pasierb joined Pitcairn Properties in January 2005. He is responsible for the financial and operational performance of the company's portfolio of properties, as well as, asset transactions, client relations, and client development. He is directing the retail effort for Pitcairn. Prior to joining Pitcairn, Mark was a Partner with The Rubenstein Company L.P, a private Real Estate Investment Trust. While at Rubenstein, Mark managed lease negotiations, refinancings, acquisitions and dispositions for the company's office and retail portfolios. The most notable transaction was the $700 million disposition of The Rubenstein Company L.P. As a Director at Prudential Real Estate Investors, an institutional investment manager of $22.9 billion worth of real estate assets, Mark was responsible for developing and implementing real estate strategies for national clients such as Hewlett Packard, Nabisco, Prudential Financial, and NYC Carpenters Pension Fund. Mark was focused on repositioning underutilized real estate, acquisitions and dispositions for PREI's fund clients. His most significant assignment was the $800 million acquisition of mixed use project The Nagato Cho building in Tokyo, Japan. During his Prudential tenure, Mark underwrote over $3.5 billion worth of general account properties located nation wide. Notable assets included: The Embarcadero Center, San Francisco, CA; Delta Towers, Century City, CA; The Hilton Hawaiian Village, Waikiki, HI; and Times Square, New York, NY. Mr. Pasierb has also worked as an appraiser with the nationally recognized firm of Krauser Welsh, & Cirz, Inc. Mark holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Real Estate from The Pennsylvania State University and a Masters in Business Administration from Seton Hall University.
Anthony M. Noce, Jr.Senior Vice President and Director of DevelopmentMr. Noce is responsible for the strategic planning and analysis of Pitcairn's development and construction initiatives. He manages a staff of professionals and supervises all facets of the development process. Prior to joining Pitcairn in 2006, Mr. Noce was Vice President and Director of Construction at The Rubenstein Company, L.P. where he was responsible for the construction of the Valley Creek Corporate Center Phase I project and was instrumental in the acquisition and redevelopment of the Radnor Financial Center buildings located in Radnor, PA. From 1997 to 2000, Mr. Noce was Director of Project Management for Nason and Cullen, Inc., where he was responsible for the construction of over $200,000,000 of new construction projects in the commercial office, education, health care and retail markets. From 1988 to 1997, he was Senior Vice President and General Counsel for a large public sector general contractor specializing in roadway and infrastructure construction. From 1986 to 1988, he was an Associate with the law firm of Lesser and Kaplin, P.C., where he represented owners, architects and contractors in construction related litigation matters. Mr. Noce earned a J.D. from the Delaware Law School in 1986 and a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Drexel University in 1980. He is a Registered Professional Engineer and a member of the Bar in Pennsylvania.
Gregory J. DwornikowskiSenior Vice-President, Asset ManagementMr. Dwornikowski is responsible for the financial and operational performance of a component of Pitcairn's property portfolio, which includes both office and residential assets. He directs the budgeting, leasing, and property management with respect to his portfolio. He also works closely with Pitcairn's development team in transitioning development projects to market. He oversaw the conversion of a 162 unit center-city Philadelphia apartment building to luxury condominiums. He supervised the design and construction for the $15.0 million renovation, directed the legal aspects of the condominium conversion, and oversaw the marketing and sales effort. He secured the financing necessary to complete the renovation. He also directs the management and leasing of The Magellan, a 168 unit luxury high rise built by the Company in mid-town Manhattan. He oversees compliance with the New York State Housing Finance Agency's 80/20 program, which enables the project to enjoy low interest financing and long term tax benefits. He previously served as Portfolio Manager at The Rubenstein Company, L.P., where he managed a 2.5 million-square foot portfolio of Class A commercial assets. As a Vice President of Asset Management at Urdang & Associates Real Estate Advisors, he managed a national portfolio of investments in office, multi-family, and retail properties. Mr. Dwornikowski earned a Master of Business Administration degree from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from LaSalle University. He is a Certified Public Accountant.
J. Jeffrey BrouilletteSenior Vice President and Chief Accounting OfficerMr. Brouillette joined Pitcairn Properties as an independent consultant in 2000 and assumed the position of Vice President and Controller. He is responsible for the financial reporting of the Company as well as the daily management of the accounting department. Mr. Brouillette also oversees the information systems function and plays an integral part in the Company's human resources function. He has an active role in the cash management of the Company and its properties, maintains lender relationships, and is the liaison with Pitcairn's external auditors. During his 15 year career in the real estate industry, Mr. Brouillette was previously the controller for Kranzco Realty Trust, a publicly-held real estate investment trust, which owned and operated shopping centers primarily throughout the Eastern section of the country. He began his career with a Big 5 accounting firm and left as an audit manager in 1994. Mr. Brouillette is a graduate of Saint Joseph's University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, with a Bachelors degree in accounting.
Marc Bing-ZarembaVice President and Director of Property ManagementMr. Bing-Zaremba joined Pitcairn in October, 2005. Marc's Primary obligation is to provide outstanding customer service to Clients, investors and vendors through innovative, responsible and responsive building management and financial management techniques. Marc is responsible for developing operating plans, long-range planning, risk management and maintenance of the physical structure. Prior to joining Pitcairn, Marc was the General Manager with Akridge Real Estate Services in Washington, D.C. Marc was responsible for transitioning a landmark, 1 million plus square foot, multi-use project from Development into Operation as well as other projects. As Regional Manger for The Rubenstein Company L.P. Marc managed their Virginia portfolio of projects totaling over 1.3 million square feet of Commercial and Retail properties. Marc also worked as the contact in the market for the Development and Construction Departments, most notably supervising a 190,000 square foot renovation. This was an all-encompassing renovation including asbestos removal, mechanical, electrical and plumbing overhauls with a renewing tenant in place. Marc also worked at CarrAmerica and Lincoln Property Company in commercial, retail and residential property management. Mr. Bing-Zaremba holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from The Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts and served in the U.S. Army where he received his commission through the Reserve Officers Training Corp. |
